Buongiorno a tutti!

Vale la pena di leggere se siete interessati circa il film "Big Eyes" che in Italia uscirà a gennaio. Quelli che seguono sono i commenti da parte della famiglia della sorella Margaret Keane, grazie alla cortesia della sorella Kathy Williams che li ha ricevuti da un amico. 

Notare in particolare ciò che si dice nell'ultimo paragrafo.

Ciao fratelli, sorelle e amici!

È stata una grande gioia per noi godere dell'assemblea internazionale a Twickenham e anche di incontrarmi con voi anche se brevemente e ricevere i vostri doni meravigliosi! 

Vorrei dirvi di più su mia moglie Jane. La sua mamma, ovvero mia suocera, è Margaret Keane McGuire. Un film importante è stato fatto su di lei e sua figlia, mia moglie Jane, ed è in anteprima in tutti gli Stati Uniti in questo momento. Il film si intitola "Big Eyes". Tutti e tre noi abbiamo avuto un ruolo come comparse nel film negli extra. L'attrice Amy Adams interpreta mia suocera Margaret e recita in maniera  favolosa e due giovani attrici, Delaney Raye e Madeleine Arthur, impersonano mia moglie Jane da piccola e da adolescente. 

Ultimamente stiamo vivendo un periodo interessante, sia per aver partecipato come comparse nel film che come pionieri a tempo pieno nella nostra congregazione. 

Comunque voglio dire qualcosa riguardo a questo film che vi consiglio di andare a vedere:

Per quanto riguarda il film, soprattutto comunicando con altri testimoni, ci sentiamo in dovere di fare la seguente dichiarazione:

Questo nuovo film "Big Eyes", la cui prima uscita è fissata per il 25 dicembre, è un film del mondo, quindi in alcuni punti contiene un linguaggio che riflette il mondo e che certamente noi non approviamo. Tuttavia il materiale tratta la biografia e la vita di Margaret, il suo carattere e di come è diventata una testimone di Geova, in un modo che, tutto sommato, potrebbe avere un effetto positivo su altri. Speriamo che pure Geova lo consideri in questi termini, anche perché il suo nome è citato più volte nel film e dagli stessi attori durante varie interviste e sui rotocalchi. Il film vuole rappresentare la ricerca di una donna per l'onestà e la verità. Mette in contrapposizione due visioni del mondo dove, alla fine, il modo di pensare più sano e onesto ha la meglio.

Got this courtesy of sister Kathy Williams who got it from a friend of hers.  Note particularly the last paragraph.

I just got this from this Brother & Sister that we were in London with and they actually live in Napa. but this was interesting. We never knew this about them till now.

Hello Brothers and Sisters and Friends!

It was so great to enjoy the Twickenham International Convention and also to meet YOU (ever so briefly) and/or to receive your wonderful gifts!

Anyway, I want to tell you more about my wife Jane.  Her Mom, my mother-in-law, is Margaret Keane McGuire.  A major motion picture has been made about her and her daughter, my wife Jane, and it is premiering across the United States right now.  It's a movie called "Big Eyes" and actually all three of us have cameo appearances in the movie as extras.  Amy Adams plays my mother in law Margaret (she does a fabulous job) and two young girls play both young Jane and teenage Jane, Delaney Raye and Madeleine Arthur.

We have been living pretty exciting times lately involved in the movie and also full-time pioneers in our congregation.  Anyway, I want to say something here about this movie and I recommend that you go see it:

Regarding the movie, especially when communicating with fellow Witnesses, we feel compelled to make the following statement:

This new movie "Big Eyes", set for its public premiere on Dec. 25th, is a worldly movie with some language in it in a few key places that reflects the world and that we certainly did not approve of.  However, it does handle the biographic material of Margaret's life, her character, and her becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses, in a manner that, all things considered, we feel has redeeming value.  We hope Jehovah feels it does, too, for his name is mentioned several times in the movie and by the actors in various interviews and review articles.  It depicts a woman's search for honesty and truth.  It brings together two contrasting world views where, in the end, the more wholesome view wins.
