Il tuo posto nella Sala del Regno

Nel corso di una recente assemblea di circoscrizione un sorvegliante viaggiante ha fatto un discorso penetrante durante la parte "Prestiamo attenzione ai bisogni della circoscrizione". Ha parlato delle adunanze.Ha chiesto: "Quanto sareste disposti a pagare per un posto ad un'opera di fama mondiale? Quanto sareste disposti a pagare per un posto ad un concerto di musica molto famosa? Quanti soldi sareste disposti a pagare per un posto in uno dei migliori istituti educativi del mondo?" Ha continuato con altri esempi per dimostrare quanto pagano alcune persone per avere un posto nei luoghi in cui vogliono essere. Poi ha chiesto: "Che dire del nostro posto nella Sala del Regno? Possiamo dare un prezzo al nostro posto nella Sala del Regno?  La Parola di Dio dice: 'Sì'".

Ha continuato leggendo Atti 20:28, che dà consigli ai sorveglianti di 'prestare attenzione a voi stessi e a tutto il gregge ..' soffermandosi dove dice che 'la congregazione ... è stata comprata con il sangue del Figlio di Dio, Gesù Cristo'. Allora ha appoggiato la bibbia sul leggio e ha chiesto: "Se ci fosse un cartellino del prezzo sul nostro posto nella Sala del Regno, quale sarebbe il prezzo? Il sangue del Figlio di Dio, Gesù Cristo!" 

Ha sottolineato il fatto che altrove un posto con un prezzo elevato non sarebbe mai vuoto. Perchè allora, nella Sala del Regno, con un prezzo così alto, ci sono così tanti posti senza persone? Ha concluso ricordando: "Il tuo posto nella Sala del Regno è stato riservato per te e il sangue di Gesù Cristo è servito per farlo. Con un prezzo così alto, non lasciare quel posto vuoto".

Price of your seat at the Kingdom Hall

At a recent circuit assembly a circuit overseer gave an awesome talk during the portion, "Giving Attention to the Needs of the Circuit." He talked about meeting attendance.

He asked: "How much would you pay for a seat at a world-class opera? How much would you pay for a seat at a popular music concert? How much money would you pay for a seat in one of the world's finest educational institutes?" He went on to compare how much many people pay just for a chair so they can be in places they want to be.

Then, he asked: "What about your chair at the Kingdom Hall? Can you put a price tag on it? God's word says 'Yes'!" He went on to read Acts 20:28, which gives counsel to overseers about 'paying attention to yourselves and to all the flock..' Then, it mentions 'the congregation, which was bought with the blood of God's son, Christ Jesus.' He lowered his Bible.

Then, he said forcefully: "What's the price now? If there was a price tag on your seat at the Kingdom Hall, it would say 'the blood of God's son, Christ Jesus.' "He highlighted the fact that anywhere else, a seat with a high price would never be empty. But in the Kingdom Hall, why then, with such a high price, are so many seats without people in them?

He concluded by reminding us: "Your seat at the Kingdom Hall has been reserved especially for you. And the blood of Christ Jesus is responsible. And with such a high price tag, please don't let it be empty."
